So, you want a sportbike but you don’t want to break the bank or your neck? The Yamaha FZ6R is the safest bet for future track riders, offering smooth power, an accommodating seat height and enough low-end torque to zip through the canyons. The FZ6R’s full fairing and low handlebars round out its sporty aesthetics, while the fuel-injected 600cc inline-four engine cranks out 66.5 horsepower. Dual-disc brakes in the front attribute to the FZ6R’s impressive stopping power, and the bike is available in three different color variations. Keep walking past that expensive and intimidating R1 and swing a leg over the Yamaha FZ6R as your starter bike.

M4 Performance Exhaust is proud to introduce the all new full system for the 2009 Yamaha FZ6R. To replace the one-piece construction offered by the factory, M4 has designed a full system only option that substantially improves the Yamaha’s performance. With the M4 system, the FZ6R Dyno tests show an 8% increase in peak horsepower. For added performance, the system weighs in at a mere 9 lbs., exactly half the weight of the stock pipe. For a sleek and streamlined factory look, with the performance and sound quality, this M4 system is the only way to go!

Japanese motorcycle manufacturer Yamaha has announced that its 2010 version of its FZ6R sportbike model comes with new colors and graphics. “With the 2010 FZ6R Yamaha is continuing to define what to expect from an entry level sport bike,” the company says in a statement.

The 2010 FZ6R will be available in dealerships nationwide beginning in February 2010 with a starting MSRP of $7,390. The FZ6R will be available in Team Yamaha Blue/White, Pearl White/Rapid Red, Pearl White/Vivid Magenta and Raven.

“New comers to the sport will especially appreciate the low seat height and handlebars that put the rider comfortably in control and anyone can appreciate build quality usually reserved for models costing thousands of dollars more.”

“An all new diamond-shaped steel frame keeps the seat height low enough to comfortably reach the ground while allowing responsive handling. A solidly mounted engine allows for the optimum balance of high vertical rigidity and comparatively low lateral rigidity for stability at speed and sharp cornering performance.”

The 600cc FZ6R features include adjustable handlebar and seat position and full meter display with digital speedometer, analog tachometer, odometer/tripmeter, fuel gauge and water coolant gauge.

“Stylish bodywork lends the FZ6R a sporty aggressive look, borrowing aggressive lines from the YZF-R series with more extensive wind protection to match the more upright seating position. A low mount exhaust keeps the mass centralized while adding to the aggressive modern look of the bike.”

“Now what’s your excuse for not getting the cool sportbike you always wanted?” the company concluded.

Before even throwing a leg over the new 2009 Yamaha FZ6R, we couldn’t help but think that this bike fits neatly into the burgeoning entry-level sportbike category and is just the kind of motorcycle that most Americans would be better off purchasing than a bike from the more popular supersport category. Generally speaking, though today’s crop of 600cc race-replica motorcycles .
yamaha FZ6R are tons of fun to ride in a proper setting, there are few if any circumstances where it’s necessary to have a machine capable of topping 160 mph or accelerating to 60 in around three seconds on public roads. With this in mind, we had very high hopes for Yamaha’s latest middleweight sportbike.

Sportiness sells. And it doesn’t even have to be sporty. If something just gives the illusion, that’s usually enough for the buying public.

How else can you explain “Sport” stickers on minivans, the most mundane conveyance known to man?

For motorcyclists, the sport and fun factor is a huge part of why we ride and Yamaha knows this, as evidenced by the cutting edge R1 and R6 sportbikes. Many riders like their bikes to look sporty but aren’t interested in their extreme riding position, focused nature and higher costs.

Yamaha’s 2009 FZ6R has the appearance of a hypersport motorcycle, yet boasts comfortable ergonomics in an easy-to-ride package that retails for a bargain $8,799.

Where the standard FZ6 has an aluminum frame and swingarm, the “R” saves pennies by using steel and making the engine a stressed member of same.

A further re-tuned version of the previous generation R6 motor makes the R an ideal mount for entry level sportbike riders and commuters.

Further cost saving strategies mean that the conventional front forks are non adjustable, while the rear shock is preload-adjustable only. And twin pot sliding-pin calipers squeeze twin 298 mm discs up front rather than calipers with opposed pistons as used on most sportbikes.

The fully-faired entry level sportbike class also includes Suzuki’s four-cylinder GSX650F and SV650 twin, as well as Kawasaki’s Ninja 650R.

Both Suzukis are at least $300 more than the 6R, but offset that with ABS. The Kawasaki comes in at a few hundred less, but its twin-cylinder engine isn’t as refined or as powerful as the Yamaha’s.

The first thing I noticed when I swung a leg over the FZ6R was a very comfortable riding position.

The tubular bars rise above the triple clamps and the footpegs are a reasonable distance from the seat. Some fine tuning is available as the seat adjusts over a 20 mm range (albeit a few bolts have to be removed and adjusted) and the handlebar clamps can be reversed, moving the bars 20 mm backwards or forwards.

Standard seat height is 780 mm (30.9 inches), which is non-intimidating for new riders or those short of inseam.

The instrumentation is simple, yet functional with an analogue tachometer, a digital speedo, fuel gauge, clock and twin tripmeters, which automatically start counting the distance traveled once the fuel light comes on.

The dash layout looked vaguely familiar and I realized that it’s a dead ringer for the FZ1′s, the motorcycle I rode during my January tour of Australia. Spent a lot of time looking at those gauges.

Where the FZ6 has a 180 section rear tire, the R’s narrower 160 section bun really aids turn-in and lightens the steering response.

Even though it feels a bit on the soft side, the handling is very good with spring and damping rates that seem well-matched to the chassis. The steering is light, predictable and very stable, whether you’re keeping up with traffic on the 401 or tooling around town.

Putting some klicks on the 6R, I grew quite fond of the comfortable riding position, no matter whether I was in the city, on the highway or even doing a bit of sporting.

The bars are wide enough for good leverage around town but narrow enough so you’re not uncomfortable on the open road. One area of improvement would be the seat, which I found a bit hard and a tad narrow.

I had an inkling the digital speedometer was somewhat inaccurate so I bolted my portable GPS to the handlebar for some impromptu calibration. This unit has proven to be fairly close to other motorcycle speedometers and spot on when riding through neighbourhood “information stations” that say “your speed is …”

An indicated 50 km/h was an actual 44, while an indicated 60 was an actual 53. On the highway, the spread was even greater as the speedo displayed 113 km/h when cruising at an actual 100.

Maybe Yamaha is using a psychological ploy to get new riders to ride responsibly. After all, there’s always a certain thrill in getting away with something.

The fuel gauge accuracy is also suspect. When the gauge got down to one bar showing (after traveling 210 km), I filled up and could only get 9.55 litres into the 17-litre tank.

I guess that’s better than wheezing to a halt when still showing a half a tank. Owners should get used to using the tripmeter because the way the 6R sips fuel, a realistic cruising range should be over 300 km per tank.

The brakes have a soft initial bite and overall stopping power isn’t quite up to sportbike snuff – which is probably a good thing because the intended user wouldn’t want hair-trigger brakes.

The five-position adjustable lever is a nice touch on a motorcycle in this category.

The R6-derived engine is an absolute gem. Retuned for less top end punch and more mid-range, it’s turbine smooth and has a surprising amount of grunt right off the bottom, which is an aid to new riders and a boon to riding in the city.

The sound emitting from said 4-into-2-into-1 exhaust system is certainly mellow enough without sounding strangled – I just think a nice, MotoGP-styled shorty can would really upgrade the looks.

The FZ6R is another excellent middleweight that blends sportbike styling with real-world rideability and performance. The fact that it’s good value to boot is just an added bonus.

The 2008 Yamaha YZF-R1 is here! Born from MotoGP technology Yamaha claims the YZF-R1 is “the most advanced open-class motorcycle ever built.” I must admit the R1 is one awesome looking motorcycle. The R1 has a liquid cooled 998cc in-line four cylinder powerplant, making more power than the previous versions. Yamaha also claims the 2008 R1 “is the most powerful, tractable R1 powerplant ever, thanks partially due to the worlds first electronic variable-length intake funnel system”. The throttle system is also cutting-edge due to Yamaha’s Chip Control Throttle, featuring a 32-bit ECU fuel injection system that adjusts the funnel length between 65 and 140mm for a smoother powerband.

As soon as you pick this motorcycle up you can rest assured you have an awesome streetbike that is ready for the track whenever you decide to run it. Technology runs rampant is this bike, and help from MotoGp technology will blast adrenaline through your soul! This bike has a 4.75 gallon, two-piece fuel tank, fuel in the back, and an airbox for the ram-air system in the front. The motor features fuel-injection, 12.7 to 1 compression, with dual overhead camshafts, and four valves per cylinder including titanium intakes. The transmission has a 6 speed gearbox with a #530 chain turning the rear tire. The front suspension is a fully adjustable, 43mm, KYB inverted telescopic front fork design, while the rear is an adjustable twist-style spring preload, with low and high-speed compression adjustability.

The front fairing is striking as well as functional. The large ram-air scoops bring power-producing air into the engine, and the design is aerodynamic for high-speed riding. Overall the 2008 YZF-R1 is a stylish cutting-edge motorcycle.

So, you’ll soon have you have the desire to do something to have fun and excitement. A motorcycle, as they say, is more fun than ever I had in the ground. As an avid cyclist, described himself as someone who likes a good time, I can not agree about it. Which brings me to the Sunday afternoon when the sun was shining and the weather nice. What is missing from this picture?

Ah yes, FZ6R Yamaha.

2009 new sport is not really a bike is a sport bike at all, but comfortable and competent entry-level machines that one step further than the Kawasaki Ninja 500 (the standard de facto of the impeller) both in appearance and performance. Compared with entry-level motorcycle, Yamaha is a jam-packed FZ6R personality.

Appearance and Performance

A look at Yamaha FZ6R enough to love people. Great design, along with a gift of aggression and wide tires (for the size motorcycles) FZ6R provides a unique view of its kind. Without doubt, there is no shortage of FZ6R curb appeal. Of course, you have two aggressive in the world does not mean anything if the bike feels like [Vespa].

Early motorcycle show silky smooth engine idling four-cylinder engine with direct fuel injection and ex-R6 machines, and when you look at it (and you) I was an angel of the exhaust sound will be rewarded. Although this is not a pocket rocket. Also true is that FZ6R not really faster than the competition in primary schools (Kawasaki Ninja 650R, Suzuki SV650S). However, the amount of personal satisfaction to ensure the owner of this bike, very easy to enjoy each of the small defects.

Believe me when I say that they are really small. By simply moving the wheel will experience riding school, the situation now, and beyond that provided by most of the “entry level” bike. There were awkward carburetor engine, there is no acceleration is weak and non-hostile looks from other drivers. This is the speed when you need it, up to you (hard but not too strong), and other causes of aesthetics that people keep asking what I got.

This bike ride hard and will pay you to stop with sub 12-second acceleration time ($ 8000 bike to keep $ 180,000 Ferrari), in turn, enthusiasm, and the possibility of a new lover cents.

So how good?

This may very well one of the best entry-level cycling Mediterranean always, in my modest opinion, this bike to be respected by all drivers, regardless of the extent of their experience. To get, to go and see for yourself, you will not regret it.

Speedy-Hitch camera makes backing up a trailer safe and hassle free. With Speedy-Hitch wireless camera, hitching a trailer becomes a one-person task. Line up ball and hitch perfectly every time. Now you can easily see what’s behind you when backing your truck, auto or trailer. This portable camera can be used for marine, motorcycles, RVs, snowmobiles, SUVs, ATVs, and camper trailers.

Speedy-Hitch Camera is great for reversing trailers into tight storage places. For even easier backing of a trailer use the “Reverse Image” button on the monitor. When you press the reverse image button the image you see in the monitor is now reversed. This can make backing easier because what direction you turn the steering wheel is the direction the trailer goes.

Speedy Hitch camera works day and night with infrared technology. Installation requires no wiring because it is wireless. Both the camera and monitor include rechargeable batteries. The camera has a magnetic mount so no screws or fasteners are necessary. Stick it to your bumper, tailgate, or on the trailer itself. Remove when finished and store in carrying bag. The monitor features full color LCD 960 x 240 images. Two rechargeable lithium batteries, carrying bag and 12-volt charger are included. The price is $ 299.99
